Sorry if there are loads of previous threads on this subject but i would be really interested in hearing fellow RevLeft members views on the current situation in South Africa.
With all the hype surrounding Nelson Mandelas recent birthday it got me wondering about how the struggle in South Africa is one you rarely hear of now(in Scotland at least).
In my younger days i was a very staunch supporter of the ANC and also the Umkhonto we Sizwe but now the only reports i hear coming from any sort of left source in SA is how the situation has not improved the way it should have and even read one quote about how the people of Soweto were better under the apartheid regime*(i find this very disturbing).
So any thoughts/information comrades?
* I think the source was the bookOne no,many yes's
