I have noticed recently that some of the more prestigious members of the board have risen from the ranks to leadership postions within the community. Will this small conspiratorial group emulate their hero? Does this group represent a small, highly organized, highly motivated, political organization intent on siezing power from the sitting rulers through violent means? Will the leadership of this new group be as murderous, and power hungry as their predecessors. Will the death toll rival the Bolshevik revolution, Mao's revolution, or even the SWAPO insurgency?

No really. What's the story behind all of the new moderators of this site. Did you guys kill Malte? Are you guys plotting against each other and manuevering to take his seat as dictator? It will be interesting to see who gets power, who gets scraps, and who gets the shiv in the back. These new developments are almost as exciting as the shaky alliances and shifting power centers around the time of the second world war. I can hardly wait to see how it all ends.

I hope that this is an example of some of the "humor" that SN keeps talking about. It's hard to tell with this guy. Half the things I've thought he was joking about before turned out to be serious.

vox (soon, I will take aboslute control of the board! *insert diabolical laugh here*)

no, fuck capitalism.

And there it is, the profound intellectualism of all of SN's posts summed up in two little words. The boy hardly needs to bother ever writing anything here again, so succinctly has he summed up his "philosophy."

No, it just goes to show you that even the best among us is not immune to using such colloqialisms, that's all. No matter how much you wish your last statement about me to be true, I think you understand how big of a lie you espouse.

What kind of a response to your tripe did you expect?

No matter how much I would love to stay and continue this lovely conversation, I must be on my way. The halls of higher education are calling. I must go and expand that 'nonexisting' philosophy of mine.

Sn, your attempt to incite conflict between the leftists on this board is just a waste of time.

"...the more prestigious members of the board have risen from the ranks to leadership postions within the community"

The New Moderators weren't elected based on prestige; rather, they represent the "Old Vanguard", prestige or power-play has absolutely nothing to do with this development.

We are a collective; the decision to ban people, delete threads and other administrative issues is as much influenced by a general consensus as it was when you dragged your humourless ass into this forum.

Dig it, Yankee Boy. You're not really in a position to bargain, are you now? :)

Whose bargaining?

If you ban me from your forum, you are the ones who lose, not I. Do what you want. Your pathetic display of what little power you have does not threaten me, because I have a life outside this forum.

Furthermore, I think you were reading way to much into my post. It appears that you are the one who is humorless.

History has proven how much the collective takes precedence over people's personal agendas. Your talk about the collective consensus is laughable. Yes you crusaders have really done something important haven't you? How much do you think your message board affects the real world? Very little, if at all.

A little spiteful today, aren't we now?

How this message board "affects the world" cannot be quantified by any of your free-market calculations...It influences, positively or negatively, each individual in different ways. What you give is what you get.

If this message board has served to educate people, well, good. If it encourages people to seek more answers, good. If you think people aren't getting anything out of this just because you're not, well, good. Whatever, man.

Now, a little touchy today, too, aren't we?

Who said anything about banning you? :)

It was implied.

I do get something out of this board. Why else would I continue to visit. That's right, because I am compulsive. No really, This board is useful, but what consequence is it to the real world? I don't know why I gravitate here rather than a "right wing" forum. Would any of you like to guess as to my reasons? I am not quite sure. Perhaps this is one of those rare occassions where you can provide me with some insight. Let's see how well this give and take works.

SN, to be honest, I really wouldn't know why you're still here. Maybe you're still here out of sheer exasperation; you know you're right, and you know we're all wrong, and maybe, just maybe, you think you can change that status quo.

Maybe you've developed a fondness for arguing just for the sake of argument. Maybe you'd rather stand out in a community of leftists than hang on to a "right-wing" board, where nobody wins and you're all just the same. And are you so "right-wing" after all?

Maybe we're all compulsive. Or maybe you just dig the attention, the "public" rebuttals, the defiance. I don't know. I'm ain't no shrink. Your guess is as good as mine, man.

It's your crossword puzzle, not mine.

Pretty good assessment.
