This video shows you how to put an infrared LED in sunglasses that is invisible to the nhuman eye but leaves your face unrecognizable by cameras. A good way to stay anonymous in this surveillance world. You can put the IR LEDs in other articles of clothing and in other places. I'm thinking above my license plate.

Does anyone know where you can find those infra-red LEDs?
And of course it would work with nightvision camera's as they work with IR-vision.

My school released some camera footage to the students to try to get people to ID some students that had a jolly good time on the campus one night. I learned that those cameras with the bullet proof orbs over them are really bad at picking up images in shadows, wearing a hood can almost completely conceal your face, though I would recommend wearing a mask as well.

This time they are on a hat instead of on glasses. the concept is very simple though.

You mean Light bulb impression caught on camera.
But you have a point you would get far too much attention by the monitoring officers that a patrol car would be sent to your location very quickly.

Then just do what you need to do quickly. Run in, hit the spot, run out. They can't catch you if you where never there.
Or alternatively scope the spot out at an earlyer date and remember where the cameras are at, draw up a rough map of the area and try to get an idea what cameras face what direction. Hit the cameras from behind with spray paint in the most ideal order not to be seen. Then you got two optins. Do what you need to do fast or just leave and come back later when it's not so suss before they have replaced the camera and do what you need to do at your own pace.
Sometimes old school methods come off better and cheaper than the fancy pants lights. Though combining both methods would work even better.

remember it is infared so it only blocks it on camera.

Remember folks, that just because it appears to block the camera, doesn't mean it does.
It is possible to apply filters to filter out the light, and thus get picture (even if it isn't a very good one). May I strongly suggest that you wear a mask or similar instead of relying on this. (There is a thread in this forum on how to mask up.)

Precisely. (http://www.globalsources.com/manufacturers/IR-Filter.html)
And don't forget that any even remotely competent surveillance setup will have at least one other camera monitoring another camera (this means that if you're directly looking at one camera with your spiffy IR goggles, chances are high that there are one or more other cameras getting different shots of you at the same time). This is also a good thing to keep in mind when tampering with any one camera: assume there is always a second camera watching.
Furthermore, don't forget that cameras are routinely hidden (http://www.supercircuits.com/Covert-Cameras/) in EXIT signs, sprinklers, floodlight installations, foliage, smoke alarms, and nearly any other non-obvious device. It is not uncommon for corporations to purchase cheap dummy plain sight cameras while at the same time investing the bulk of the budget into the aforementioned covert cameras. Though on the flip side, particularly in retail settings, chances are high that if you see numerous camera domes in the ceiling, most of them are going to be empty.

yeah I had read about putting them on your car so that your license plate can't be scanned by cameras. it was part of an article on how to live "off the grid" in Britain/Airstrip One. Article available here
