Socialist think that capitalist main point is that the wealthy should rule which isn't true. But is you don't believe in that then, who do you think should have authority?? The poor???

The resources of the world should be controlled democratically. not by some company which pays for the election campaign of some corrupt politician.

Everybody should have equal power in governing their country. Rule should be democractic, not by someone who has more money and friends than others.
America is essentially a dictatorship with it's President in power.
In a socialist system it is beleived that there should be a 'dictatorship of the proletariat'.ie The workers and people run things.

Why should one group of people have authority over another? If the money is divided equally nobody would need to control anyone else.

"America is essentially a dictatorship with it's President in power."
That's a pretty absurd thing to say, don't ya think?

In addition to BEC's observation, what incentive would people have for taking on jobs with greater responsibility?

In capitali$m on the other hand, only the people who makes the most money get to slack off... and then workers have to work extra hard for the rich. Just like in USA. Oh, and did you know that since Mexico became capiitalist, the % of poor mexicans has increased from 30% to 70%?

so how would you feel if I started saying that "communism is misunderstood, and it doesn't cause oppression?"
Communism, obviously, causes oppression as in Cuba, and I have to admit that. It's too naive to work, therefore I'm not really a communist.
Capitalism causes poverty in Mexico and USA. But do you admit that? No, instead you claim that it makes us all free. And maybe you're right....

unless you have no obligations to anyone other than yourself you aren't free.
People act like freedom means you can be whatever you want. There are two things wrong with this
1. Thats not true
2. THats not freedom
I don't want to go to school, I have to....ie I'm not free to do as I wish.
All america has is the ability to start a buisness and exploit people.
In democratic socialism you can start a buisness...you just can't exploit people
