Gay men tended to have brains that were more like those of straight women than of straight men -- the right and left sides were about the same size, the researchers found. Gay women's brains tended to be more like those of straight men than of straight women -- the right side tended to be slightly larger than the left.

I read about this. I have no idea what conclusions to draw from it though, as I have no idea what the similar areas do, so I have no idea whether this is significant or not. (Apparently while lesbians and straight men had similar brains as well the similarities were less pronounced than with stright women and gay men.).

I have read several case studies on this issue, however from what I have been able to decipher, the term "gay" is incorrectly used is several of the studies. It seems that homosexual was substituted for "transgendered".

This article didn't seem to mention it, but the most significant difference between "male" and "female" brains is the size of the corpus collasum (it is typically much larger in a female's brain, allowing better intercerebral communication), which connects the right and left lobes.

In transgendered men the corpus collasum resembles the structure of most female brains and vice versa.

Hmm... does the queerness have something to do with the fact that I'm left-handed? Hahahah
(Right brain larger... left handed... you'll get it when you're older)
