Came across this remark in Oi the other day: "Everything is potentially a means of production" that I've heard a number of times from Randians. How do you respond to this? Is it ahistorical? The kernel of truth in this remark is that the means of production do indeed constantly revolutionize themselves.

I don't believe that everything is a means of production. Possessions (not property) are not necessarily means of production. I don't know where I'm going with this, and I might be wrong, but that's my take on this question.
