I want to wear a communist shirt to the voting polls, red shirt with a sickle and hammer, however it's illegal to campaign within like 100 yards or something of the voting place... I don't want my vote to not count, i want to vote no against constitutional ammendment #6, teach the republicans a lesson, they are trying to make it so businesses don't have to pay taxes for property through depreciaiton, dumb asses businesses should pay 2 million dollars in taxes for whatever they do. Get more money for public transportation and stuff...
Anyway i want to vote, yet i want to rile up republicans at the same time, i'm planning on voting at 6 PM.
Should I
A: just go vote
B: vote and be communist
C: be communist and try pick on republicans.

I believe the law in the US is as long as you have shoes on in a public place you can vote wearing any shirt that strikes your fancy

If you want to portray yourself as a dickface and not be taken seriously by anyone, I say do it. God knows those who worked hard all day and rush to get to the polls in support of democracy could use a good laugh. I too think the full literary works of Marx would add to your costume, but Halloween was last week.

In Britain you're not allowed to wear anything political which 'may bias the result' but that is Britain and I was allowed to wear my communist T-shirt...

If you want to wear the shirt, I think you should. However, your going to stick out like a sore thumb. So don't make the left look bad.
If anyone asks you about the hammer and sickle, be ready to explain to them that you support "worker rights" and that the hammer represents the Urban Wokers, the Sickle represents the Farmers, and together they symbolize equality.
You might be able to get some new recruits.

Well, I spent about 13 hours yesterday at the poles watching to make sure the republicans and democrats didn't fuck around.
I wasn't allowed to wear any political buttons, t-shirts, etc... and I did see some people asked to remove buttons, and some republicans called the police on some democrat who was handing out literature on Carl McCall within 100 feet (not yards as someone said)
However as the communist party actually didn't run any candidates, I doubt it would have been a problem yesterday.
As far as coperations paying taxes, they don't pay taxes in New York state, in fact they get money back from the government every year just to try and keep them in New York even though many times they just take the money and leave anyway. That was a major point of the Green Party campain here in New York.. making coperations pay their taxes.

kidicarus20 I think that you should wear whatever you like if it is an attempt at defiance and making you opinions heard. But if you really want to attempt something such as enlightening others all the publicity you need should be the words you speak. If it is about being loud and making a statement however then your reasons are wrong and you lack conviction. Whatever the reason may be the power is on your hands, live a happy life my Comrade.
Floyd.
