I didn't respond to the Spanish post because I don't know any.

Try the Aquabats; they're awesome, but just off the radar enough that they're not well known outside the ska scene.

Check out Pama International. Not 100% Ska but they mix Ska/Reggae & Dub. Or how about The Trojans - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=J55WDz39tVE

Or check out some of the one man band Ska stuff that Gus does on YouTube - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=QlewKFS06jc

And if you haven't got a copy already get Laurel Aitken's album with Potato 5. It's probably my favourite Ska album of the 80s. And also get the Bitty McLean album 'On Bond Street'.

those all suck!

try some old school Trojan Box Sets, you cant go wrong with finding ones roots. i try to stay away from that trendy 3rd wave middle class bullshit (Catch 22 and Real Big hads its moments, but still). jaffe and red-poem had some great suggestions also. try 1st and 2nd wave ska to get the old school feel but i might be biased for obvious reasons.

p.s. Op Ivy rocks.

Ska P is now reformed into another similar band called The Locos....
You can try them if you like the Ska P sound...
I am more into old school ska and rocksteady.

Well,The Specials are legends.
I've been to the Rebellion Fest in Vienna and heard the new version of The Specials, called Neville Staple, and they rock it pretty damn good as well.
