This is great classic video. Supposedly Donohue is as left as you get on mainstream TV back in the 90's and even today to the point where MSNBC took him off the air at the beginning of the Iraq war. Chomsky DESTROYS their thinking and gives them an education. GREAT retro classic video:

Thanks for posting. Chomsky debating is always fun. That said, I haven't watched this as I'm nursing my bandwidth till the end of the month. Anyway- I'm adding these links to the video thread in E&P so that they don't get lost. :)

pretty cool! Bootleg.

here is Chomsky debating the arch conservative and ultra-pompous William Buckley in 1969, whose game finally came to an end earlier this year. Chomsky shows massive restraint in not getting up and throttling this smug overbearing bastard.

here's another good piece. Chomsky should get his own archive, at least a sticky in the anarchist group forum.

Chomsky, on theBBC program the "Big Idea" re: corporate media, propaganda model, radio internet, etc.

I love Chomsky videos because he uses simple logic to explain power structures today and how they work. He's no were near dogmatic left and he notices real important modern change that unfortunately the rest of the left doesn't notice and Chomsky makes sure to note that the changes come from below, not from the "kindness of above" (which is what Charlie Rose once suggested to Chomsky and Chomsky destroyed his thinking).
