Meet Bob Kelleher, the Republican nominee against Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) this year.

He is an 85-year-old attorney with some downright unconventional views. He believes the American system of representative government should be replaced by a parliamentary system. He calls for socialized medicine, advocates nationalizing the country's oil and gas industries and believes taxes should be raised significantly to eradicate poverty.

This is an interestng one. Says it all really that the GOP are not really keen on fighting this campaign, stating that funds will be available for races they have a 'chance of winning'. It also raises questions about the concept of entryism, but not in any way imaginable that socialists should flock to the republicans to try and win it to left-wing ideals.

maybe a socialist by American standards, he sounds like a social democrat. but to ba a social democrat in USA is indeed radical.
