I'm new - obviously. I've looked at this site many times and finally decided to join.

I don't consider myself a Communist, or any other "ist". I'm a fed-up, disgusted, and pretty much just plain old po'd American girl. I'm sick and tired of how our politicians are selling us out, so that their buddies in BIG business can give their CEO's bigger paychecks.

I'm a registered voter and I always go vote, yet I find myself more and more dismayed with our Government. I try to be hopeful that things will "change" with a new Administration (unless the McBush gets in - ha!) but I still have many fears for the USofA. I feel that Terrorism isn't our bigest threat - it's US (or rather THEM - the do-nothing, worthless Politicians). America is being destroyed from within. It makes me sad.

Anyway --- I'm also a fan of Benicio del Toro. I am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see the films that he and Soderbergh have devoted almost 10 years into making. It may have already been posted here, and I overlooked it, but he did win the award for Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal of El Che.

Any helpful tips or inside info about this board would be appreciated.

Nice to meet you all.

I hope I did this right - I'm not a computer whiz. It's a new world everyday.

Swap the genders and you described myself a few years ago. It wasn't until I got out of high school that I felt comfortable with the label "socialist" or "communist".

I still haven't decided my preferences out of the many, many different branches of communism.
