17 year old in court for 'planning to blow up BNP members'

Has anyone got any more info on this story (http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/Yorkshire-teenager-in-court-on.3284042.jp) about a couple of lads who are accused of plotting to blow up some BNP scum? The only evidence that is mentioned is that they had a copy of the Anarchist Cookbook.
This is ever so slightly worrying.
The Anarchist Cookbook can be ordered from any bookshop, ,has an ISBN number and is in the British library so it's not exactly a proscribed text or anything.
The story is from last October but this is the first I have heard of it.

The news article is from last October which is why I'm surprised not to have heard about it till now.
It says that he was released on bail and only allowed to go out with his mum. :D
It is really quite shocking that this has not been made into an issue at all and that noone seems to have heard about it.

This does not mean he was an anarchist. Christ I had a copy of that when I was a teenager, probably had all sorts of dumb conversations about how it would be cool to blow the fash up too.
It looks like he is being screwed for being in possession of a book.

well this is particularly bad, because not only are we alienated from mainstream debate it entails the use of violence. Rest assured the BNP are lapping this up with gusto.

Aye, I only found out about it after registering on the ukdebate site you were arguing on. It was the guy from the che thread that posted it up.

btw I'm pretty sure that debateuk was set up by a BNP member or ex-member. I first came across talk about it on storm**** and the greenarrow forums.

Weird, I hope the courts do realise how idiotic this is and drop it all together; the recipies in the anarchist cookbook are completely wrong anyway, there all taken out of world war one field manuals. Not only are they out of date, the chemical equations are all wrong. even if they were planning on blowing up members of the BNP; if they were following the anarchist cookbook they'd probably have blown themselves up first.

I do essentially agree, I wouldn't pull a stunt like that, but if it did happen I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing:P
