these ideas have been mentioned before or in the back of people's minds:

1. Obama is elected and is killed by a white supremecist. race motivated violence skyrockets.

2. Obama is elected (not killed) and nazis and klan members unite and hate crimes rise.

3. nothing happens because the nazi scum talk a lot of shit but never really act on it.

these senarios can happen. are we prepared for a facist/racist uprising in america? are the leftists around the US really ready for the idea of nazi groups starting to operate in the open with common white support and sympathy who are scared of minorities? can we organize faster and be prepared just incase?

this election means a lot for the US (even if you dont vote), and if the nazis and klansmen fucks stop chanting and started to act, could we do the same as well and stop them? any thoughts or ideas for this worst case senario? for if it does happen, we need to be on the frontlines fighting back!

option 2 sounds most plausible. i dont think any president is going to be assassinated again, and Nazi scum do talk alot of shit, but with a black president they might really get pissed and commit crimes against black people more.

and about dealing with the possible rise in hate crimes, the only answer would be to take direct action against the Nazi organizations. i dont think we are as prepared as we should be for something like that, but we as leftists are generally prepared for crazy shit which require us to fight.

i think a fourth option is that Obama notices the rising prominence of groups like the KKK and rather than sitting on his hands, he has the gumption to do something about it because he is black himself, and as a result America adopts anti-nazi laws on a par with Germany.

i read this article from the SPLC (which people have mixed opinions about), and the article stated that a few racist groups were actually hoping for obama to win. this in turn would start the race war once the white people are scared of a black man in the white house.the assasination theory came form the comments hillary made back in early may about him being shot if elected. though far fetched, i thought this would be interesting to talk about. not so much about IF the war broke out, but more about are we READY for a war (or any major anti-facist actions).

I think No.1 would be likely but I wouldn't think of it as a race war. There would be riots but not a race war. No.2 is the most likely. The Klan and the Nazis already toured the country going to each capital together, so I think that they would unite and commit more crimes.

No.3 is also plausible, but the racists have been getting more and more restive lately. A black capitalist head-of-state would probably be a good thing for the pseudo-populist crap that they spew for recruitment purposes, so hate crimes would probably rise regardless.
