Don't have a link, but last night I heard on MSNBC that Dennis Kucinich, Senator (I think from Ohio), Democrat, and presidential candidate has submitted 35 articles of impeachment to impeach U.S. President George W. Bush.

Discuss.

I've loved this guy, and this impeachment is over due and unfortunately, late, whats the point of doing this now?

make the republicans look bad, will McCain go as far as to openly criticise a republican governments mistakes?

maybe McCain will be tarnished with the same failings as Bush?

McCain has gone to great pains to distance himself from Bush. . .I don't think this will affect him directly.

It may encourage a few people to vote against the Republican party, but not against McCain.

Kucinich might get some modest support for this bill, but the majority of Democrats are too spineless to back it. There's not a hair between the two big parties - commenting on the impeachment of Bush, Pelosi said that she wouldn't support it because it's "divisive". If congressional democrats aren't willing to challenge congressional republicans, that undermines the already tenuous "two party system", which in itslef is undemocratic by denying people real choice.

It'll be a little propaganda boost for Kucinich amongst left-liberals and some libertarians, it might chip a way a little bit at Bush, but by and large it'll sweep under the carpet soon. Bush is a lame duck president now, so this motion is slightly gratuitous...

The impeachment campaign is actually against Vice President Dick Cheney, not President Bush.

Actually Thiazi, he started a campaign against Cheney last year which faltered, and he's after Bush this year.

Sorry for my grammar in the last post, I posted it with my Ipod Touch. I like this guy, its a shame Bush didn't get this thrown at him earlier.

This is just a popularity pull for the democrats so folks on the liberal side have more faith in the democrats.

He's not a senator and this doesnt make the slightest bit of difference. A Bush impeachment won't even help any progressive causes. Let him serve out his term and let history punish him and his cronies on the Right.

Bush isn't getting impeached. Not a chance.

The Democrats won't move to impeach and Kucinich knows it. He's probably just doing it so that it is on the congressional record.
