Greetings All,

Am returning after an absence and under my full name this time (yes, this is my real name). New beginnings...
A Communist since 1972 (I'm 54 at present) of the Marxist-Leninist variety, I began with the CPUSA (under Gus Hall then), progressed through several other Marxist organizations and am now, more or less, freelance and unattached.
I'm an ardent collector of the Cold War and have amassed quite a number of badges, medals and orders of the Soviet Union, Mongolia and the German Democratic Republic along with a sizable library on the subjects.
Have a degree in Commercial Art and worked as a graphic designer and photographer for many years- still have some clients on the side.
Music has always been an important aspect of my life. Began playing at age 7 and continued through the years. I play guitar (usually 12 string- acoustic and an old Rickenbacker electric) and cittern (10 string, mandolin-family instrument; I have 21" and 16" scale models). Usually play folk music of one type or another.
I live in the sticks... a remote area in Central Virginia between Charlottesville and Richmond on 9 acres with my wife and a whole bunch of animals of different sizes, varieties and degrees of "lethal-ness".
I was in the Navy for 8 years and am a combat veteran. My last ship (USS New Jersey) is now a museum.
Well, that's about it. Glad to be back; hope to hear from all.

Greg
