Hello,

I am a bit nervous. This is my first post here. RevLeft was
recommended to me by a fellow from another leftist-board.

I didn't like that board (SE). It didn't suit me at all.

I am living in Sweden. I am a genuine Punk. (Right now
I have a very cool pink mohawk...:D ).

I am also a boxer (amateur) and work out 6 days a week.

Politically I consider myself an Anarcho-Socialist
or something like that...

But I am by no means a Stalinist or Maoist - and neither a
person who 100% believes in so called 'scientific' marxism.

Yes: I read Marx's "Das Kapital - Band 1" and quite many
of Trotzky's books. So I guess I am close to being a
Trotzkyist and an Anarchist (if thats possible).

On the anarchist side: I read a little Bakunin, but mostly
Alexander Berkman.

I know what street-fighting is and can handle myself.
(Black Bloc and stuff).

I chose the username 'Grunt' (which originally is military
slang for the common infantry soldier in the US Marine
Corps).

I chose that name - because thats basicly what I am:
A 'footsoldier', expendable and doing the dirty work.

No, no: Of course I am not a real marine, nor a
professional soldier. Nor do I want to be one.

But there is an old saying:

"Grunt's do all the fighting."

Now I must go and learn all the rules that apply here.

Thanks for letting me be part of the board ! :)

If any of you guys has some recommendations which forums
to check out first, or other important info - please let me
know !

Thanks comrades ! :D

I have been awake for over 48 hours - so please forgive
me if I answer individually first tomorrow.

I thank you for the welcome ! :)

Just three things:

• What does 'anarcho-trot' mean ? Is it something good or bad ?

• Are there so few Anarcho-Punks on this board ? :(

• As to antifa: Called AFA here. No 'cell'. Just 'on the spot'
action when nazis (mostly SD) having an 'event' or when
imperialist fascist politicans come here.

Will write more tomorrow.

I really could use some pointers and tips in which forum to
begin....:(

Welcome, and I must say I love your little picture.

While not an anarchist myself, I respect their point of view greatly. I just don't happen to be optimistic enough I suppose (I don't have enough faith in the human race for anarchy to work).

I do, however, have punk roots. I grew up listening to old Sex Pistols albums and right when the Ramones were big.

Its nice of you to welcome me - and post, despite the fact that
I am a newbie and dunno much (if anything).

But I believe RevLeft might be a good place for me to learn ! :)

Good point ! Thats a major problem for me too: Faith in the human
race !! I haven't worked that out alltogether yet...

Thats soooo cool comrade ! You saved my day ! :)
Are you still a Punk Rocker ?

And: Are there more punks here on the board ?

That would be so awesome - and I wouldn't feel so alone...:(

You know, I haven't much tried to find out, but I couldn't imagine that there isn't.
Try the music forum.

I still listen to the Ramones, Clash, Sex Pistols, and local punk rock bands, but since the Ramones, I haven't been impressed by much punk music. . .it has undergone an undeniable pussification since the 80s.

NOFX would be good if they were. . .talented.
Elastica is pretty good, but they're more New Wave then punk (and don't have the punk attitude)
Don't get me started on Greenday or Avril Lavigne.

I prefer to keep my dusty, old vinyl and go see the bar-bands then buy shiny, new CDs with crap on them.
