This isnt the experiment where they tested life after death is it?
In Spain they decapitated a prisoner and tested how long he blinked his eyes after death, think it was about 4 seconds

If that were the case, wouldn't they just lop his head off quickly with an ax instead of cutting it slowely?

Bored people like me find lots of things on the internet usually. I'm learning to read cyrillic right now, (I can already very horribly understand spoken russian if said slowly enough) so I figured visiting the FSB site would waste some time and practice my reading. Well, sounding out every word got bored so I went to the photo section and looked at this instead, they got another photo of some old man being decapitated too.
Yes this is Thine Stalin.

hey guest (thine stalin), you say you can sound out the russian words, correct? well, if you want to (it might take a while) tranlsate the heading, (or all of it if you can be fucked) words to english letters like so: "dobri ootra" (good morning) and i can work it out for you. well, whatever...

Judging by the other pictures given below the frames, I will make a couple guesses. First off, this is probably a Russian government site, and it is showing the deeds of its enemies. So with that taken, I would presume that it is the murder of a captured Russian solider by the Chechens, or a victim of one of Russia's numerous organized crime gangs.

I just remembered
http://babelfish.altavista.com/
This site has an automatic translation program for various languages of the world. Though it isn't perfect, it gives you the basic idea. This is what it translated to:
"One additional documentary videos"emka, made by killers themselves. So nelyudi were straightened with those, who proved to be in their hands.According to the data OF MVD of Russia, from 1992 through 2000 in Chechne were stolen 1815 people. The leaders of bandgrupp, which specialize in the seizure of hostages, are, first of all, the field commanders Of basayev, Khattab, Barayev, Umarov, Bakuyev, brothers Akhmadovy."
So I guess I was right about the chechens.

OK, it goes like this:
Yesche odna dokumentalnaya videosyemka, sdelannaya samimi ubijchami. Tak nelyudi raspravlyalis s temi, kto okazalsya v ih rukah. Po dannyim MVD Rossiy, s 1992 po 2000 god v Chechnye bilo pohyscheto 1815 chelovek. Lidyerami bandgrupp, spechializiruyu na zahvate zalozhnyikov, yablayayutsya prezhde vsego polevye komandir Basayev, Hattab, Barayev, Umarov, Bakuyev, bratya Akhmadov.
Poor translation:
The MVD has reported that from 1815 people were kidnapped in Chechnya from 1992 to 2000.The leaders the military unit, which specialized in the seizure of hostages, are named Basayev, Khattab, Barayev, Umarov, Bakuyev and the brothers Akhmadov.

Wrong. Don't you know the FSB?
In 1991 the KGB split into many new agencies. FSB ( meaning Federalnaya Sluzhba Bezopasnosti) was one of them. It takes care of internal affairs (sort of like the FBI), while the SVR deals with "spying" (similar to CIA).
And no, this is the videotape of a Chechen prisoner being decapitated by Russian soldiers. It was filmed by the killers themselves.

Hey, did you say MVD? Arent they the name of the after OGPU but before NKVD Russian security forces? I thought the MVD didnt exist, that it had been absorbed into the NKVD. Am i wrong?

the computer translation was basically correct.
i translate the first sentence as: "One more video documentary, filmed by the killers themsleves. This unsociable person (obviously there's another meaning to this word that i am unaware of) was punished while in their hands."
from there chasovoys translation is fairly accurate. i hope this was some help.

I still don't understand why the KGB would put photos of russian soldiers decapitating chechen rebels on their site...

MVD is the Russian ministry of internal affairs ( the police )

oh, ok. Yeah, and that makes no sense. Isnt the idea to make the enemy look barbaric? Make them look cruel?

With my computer not working, ie, the cyrallic letters appearing as blocks, i cant read the rest of the site to translate, because what mazdak said is true. in my translation it says (ih rookah)which means "their hands". its very difficult to tell exactly why and to whom this is occuring.
if my computer stops mucking up, i'll read more broadly on the site, and maybe we'll get more of an idea.

The headline above the pics says "Illustrations".
The page title is "Tchetchnja. Belaja kniga. "
http://www.fsb.ru/foto/hattab/1-2.html
At first I thougt this was a pic of Che, but taking a closer look, It's someone else.
The headline says "ÌÅÆÄÓÍÀÐÎÄÍÛÉ ÒÅÐÐÎÐÈÑÒ ÕÀÒÒÀÁ ÓÍÈ×ÒÎÆÅÍ", or "Mezsh dunarododny terrorist nattav unitchtozshaen". I have no idea what it means, but i can read cyrillic.

I think that these killers are Chechen rebels, not the Russian soldiers as I first thought.
Remember that commander named Basayev?
He is the Chechen terrorist responsible for the bombings of the apartment buildings in Kaspiysko, Buynaksko, Moscow and Volgodonsko.
And Khattab?
Emir Khattab is supposed to have strong connections to Bin Laden. He also likes to film his killings on camera.
The page contains standard Russian propaganda.
I quote: "The fight which Russia fights in Chechnya against international terrorism, gangsterism, slave trade and drug-trade already cost it big. But these victims are not useless. Order in the Caucasus will be restored in the name of Russia."

Wasn't there a suggestion that some British telecommunications workers kidnapped and executed in Chechnya were executed because Bin Laden paid a higher ransom to have them executed?
