" If you as a communist would like to believe that your doing something for those who are crippled, old, or just to lazy to work then you are one in a billion. "
Okay, this was posted by Saminego. He believes that us communists do not care about helping anyone, and that anyone who does express such an opinion is one in a billion. So let's test his theory by taking a poll? Yes or No? Do we support the needy?
My Response:
Yes, I support the needy.
Hopefully, with this poll; we can see what the REAL statistics are.

Any socialist helps the needy. It's so important to help one another that it is mandatory. Everyone helps everyone else, cooperation not competition.
Yes, I support the needy.

This is a poll determining what the average precent of communists that support the poor is. Your imput is insignificant.

I am educating myself.
And, uh, i don't really know exactly what to do/support...there are so many things to do. But maybe i'll join our Red Election-alliance party youth organization, and get things done through this

The first step is educating yourself and others. That's the point of this website. :)

Drake, you are interpolating Samaniegos post.
He did not question whether you want to help the poor.
He stated that if you believe that communism will help the poor/unfortunate, then you are wrong (or 1 in 1 billion).
So, your poll is flawed.

Imperialist needs to learn to read!
" If you as a communist would like to believe that your doing something for those who are crippled, old, or just to lazy to work then you are one in a billion. "
How can you not understand this! He is saying that COMMUNISTS are one in a million. He didn't accuse the communist theory of being unhelpful.

I believe he is saying that 999,999,999 (more if he is using the UK definition of a billion) communists don't believe that they are helping the poor/crippled/old/etc...
What this thread is proving, is that the communists here do support the needy and disadvantaged, and if they are saying they do it, then they believe that they do. Therefore pissing in the face of the arguement that only one in a billion commies believe that they help.
Frankly the initial sentance that sparked this off is so grammaticly deficient that it beggars belief.
Someone asked how we help the needy, I would like to address that question. I spent some time deliberating as to whether to reply to that as it is a bit to much like blowing my own trumpet. But if it restores someones faith in humanity or encourages another to do similar, then I have made the world a slightly better place.
* I buy the Big Issue most weeks. For those that do not know, it is a magazine that is sold by the homeless to help them off the streets. Over half of the cover price goes into their pocket.
* I donate to charities (Save The Children and Oxfam at the moment) by direct monthly transfer from my bank account. Every year I change which charities I donate to, spead it around so to speak.
* When recieving change from a purchase in a shop, I often throw the change into whatever collection box happens to be on the counter.
* I purchase houshold cleaning products from a company that specialises in providing work for the blind.
* I often give change to people begging on the street. I don't care if they spend it on drugs or alcohol as that will give them a moments enjoyment and it stops them looking to crime for the money.
* I will always hold a door open for the elderly or disabled. This may sound like a small thing but they apreciate it enormously, it improves their quality of life.

You're still not paying attention! Read the damn post!!
" If you (HE IS ADRESSING US!) as a communist (HE IS ADRESSING US AS COMMUNISTS! NOT THE THEORY OF COMMUNISM) would like to believe that your (THATS US AGAIN) doing something for those who are crippled, old, or just to lazy to work then you are one in a billion. "

I support the needy. Specifically in terms of health care.
I think health care should be available and affordable to everyone who needs it for any reason.
As far as housing, food, stuff like that: If you're hurt or disabled, the state should help you out as much as you need, regardless.
Everyone else, go to school or get a job.
