some personn say France Germany and Briton but i think Russia have great influence.this make Putin and Medvedev powverful leaders.Putin are smart and Bush are stupide dumheter.Putin he refuse t o join i n war in Irak with USA and Briton. now the world know war i n Irak are big mistake.the Russia gouvernement controll oil for europe and this make it very powverful and many nucléaires armes.
Russia and France there found out to have oppose the war for financière. Saddam he owe Russia millions of dollars and french banks make money fro m Saddam and get much oil from him.now China get oil fro m Russia and this make cost o f petro high i n west countrys.i think europe ecomomié will depend on were Russia leader direction an d this i s not good thing. what d o you think?

just look at Eastern European gas supplies to see how ruthless Russia can be when she doesn't get what she wants to

Yeah, Russia is a force to be reckoned with in any field. I think it will be very interesting to see how (and what) they will do in the next few years.

i cant speak of russia's influence over europe, but it seems to me like the US and Russia are instigating another conflict elsewhere in the middle east. Putin recently warned the US gov not to attack iran, because they have supposedly peaceful nuclear power programs. i would think that if the neo-cons attacked iran then all hell would break lose between the two, and there would be a huge proxy war in iran.

i wouldn't say they have the most influence over Europe, although with the large amounts of natural gas in that country they certainly command a certain amount of respect. The old guard in the EU still has by far the most influence in Europe.

The states of Western Europe (especially) are far different and more assertive than those South American which have been or are under the heel of American imperialism
