I've decided to do my 4000 page research paper on the Spanish-Civil War. I have already read Homage to Catalonia, but where should I start for good information. i would like to see a variety of sources primary and secondary and even some by fascist scum so i can make a "fair and balanced" paper. What should i read?

The Spanish Civil War by Hugh Thomas. After you're done with that one, move forward to other literature and sources.

the battle for spain by Anthony Beevor. basic book on the war, has all the facts and figures and names needed for a paper. Also try Franco by Paul Reston. this bookis also a good book about the war and Franco as a person.

Read the book called Durutti.
It is amazing!
It talks about the civil war through the eyes of Durutti who was one of the main leader. It starts from 1925 explains the workers struggles and attempts for revolution before 1936 and then it starts with te actual Civil war.
I strongly recomend it.
