thats more or less what i was thinking when i saw the movie.

i read the marvel comics, and i hate tony stark. he is THE prick of the century.

surprisingly, Captain America is the one who challenges the politicians and calls for reforms and investigations into the "war on terror". he actually beat the shit out of Iron Man in "Civil War", but still surrendered (and then shot). so oddly enough Captain America (even though he fought the reds), is actually one of the most legit hero out there and my favorite. plus he isnt a wussy and use a power suit to fight.
