Cuba is relatievley poor because of USA's trade embargo
USA is responsibile for the Iraq war
It is a police state....
Now i have a problem...in my country (Bosnia and Herzegovina) they discovered oil fields...They say that we have equal ammounts of oil like Iraq and Saudi Arabia...should i be afraid that their oil companies will come here..
Other thing is that Russia owns an oil refinery in bosnia...they will want the oil also....Is there going to be a war...
Third thing that in bosnia corruption is high...will it result as a total colapse of normal life...

Seeing as how we already have troops stationed in Bosnia due to past conflicts, I imagine American corporations will be going after your fields in the future.

relax champ. just breath and take it easy. there will be no war; the US wont risk it, and the Russians are to inept to conduct one.

Well considering that all the major conflicts start somewhere in the Balkans(like the First world War), and considering the amount of oil in Bosnia, maybe in the future where all the wars will be energy wars , a war will happen in Bosnia.
Also considering the americans trying to control the Balkans right now, by spliting serbia and creating Kosovo, thus having Kosovo and Albania on their side and FYROM also by helping them get the name Macedonia recognized....
The Americans aren't helping these three countries or noting. They want good allies in the Balkans which countries will use for their bases for a war to control Bosnia and the Balkans. It sounds possible for me to have a war in the next 10 years.

A war is of course quite possible, but it would be more problematic for the US government to wage war in europe than the middle east so the US will wait untill the middle east dries up for oil before doing something so reckless.

It is very probable that the US will go after your oil. So will Russia. War however is highly unlikely, especially between those two powers.

I find that highly improbable given the current situation the US is in:
1. The US army is already over stretching in Iraq and Afghanistan. Another war is simply not an option given the current (extra) resources.
2. These extra resources (billions of tax paying dollars) and the fact that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is a major factor of the unpopularity of this and the next administration, in short, social unrest is another factor for starting another war.
3. Confrontation with Russia is unlikely as the west draws more and more on their natural resources.
4. The chances that they'll get the EU in this are close to none. The EU is now considering options to let Serbia and other Balkan states in the union. Any war language from Washington would cause a political crisis.
5. How much oil is at stake anyhow? I find it improbable that there are "huge" oil fields in Bosnia that haven't been found in the past few decades, certainly not the size of those in Iraq.

If there will be a new war on oil, a far more likely candidate would be Venezuela, which features the Orinoco tar sands basin; possibly containing an equal amount in oil than all conventional sources put together. But even here factors 1 and 2 are still in effect with the added difficulty that a war in Venezuela will probably radicalise the Venezuelan working class even further.

Herzegovina lies on a rich oil field, claim experts from British Petroleum and the American research company Amoco. According to their research, at a depth of 4 to 6 kilometers below ground there is 500 million tons of oil which, if confirmed, would make Herzegovina a new Saudi Arabia.

According to the same sources, oil fields are also located in the northern part of Bosnia (Posavina region). The first barrels of oil from Bosnia and Herzegovina are expected in about 15 years from now, as a result of collaboration of the Sarajevo based Energoinvest and US oil companies.

Here's the article...i dont know the source...

I'd only worry if guys wearing fatigues and kevlar that don't look like marines. Then you know somethings gonna happen cause blackwater is there. Russia may have a refinery but I bet the real competition will be in drilling. Halliburton will have to work with Exxon (probably) to keep prices low if they drill. Plus stealth would be extremely critical, they would need to set up overnight on drilling for maximum effect.

But high corruption is the foot in the door any company would need to get into your country. Expect a coup, rigged elections, or assassinations (or more of a police state, especially at protests.) On the topic of CIA black-ops, the CIA could win over Russia if they incite a Cechnyan(sp?) self-determination movement in Russia's drilling area of operations in the Black Sea.

The more logical thing that would happen is that Russia would take it, because their economy is faltering, and they need a 'booster shot'.
