Dejavu here. In the other thread I offered the chance to debate live one on one with GeneCosta ( or anyone else if they're interested) over a voice chat program. It would then be recorded and posted here on the forums.
Confidentiality and respect are guaranteed. If anyone is interested please respond here or give me a shout on my private messages here on RevLeft.
Thanks.

Why have you made a second account?

Sounds interesting.
What would you debate exactly?

The DJ account was having problems staying logged in for some reason. Red Anarchist, are you perhaps interested in some friendly discourse over live chat?
I've read some of you're other posts and I think you make some excellent commentary. I'd be very pleased if you joined me in debate. :)

Anything really but something in the realm of ( either or):
-morality
-state
-economics
-anarchy ( socialist and capitalist/market versions)
-religion
-philosophy
Of the above topics, in case you don't know me, heres where I stand:
-Morality. I believe in objective morality.
-State. I am anti-state.
-Economics. I support the free market.
-Anarchy. Of the Individualist/Anarcho-Capitalist/Market Anarchist persuasion.
-Religion. Atheist.
-Philosophy. Fan of Aristotle. Big on virtue vs vice. Nit-picky about logical consistencies in arguments.

My account's having trouble posting new threads. Should we post new post ideas on dead threads from the past--or should us OIer's re-sign up as new accounts?
Deja--good to see you back!

I assume you mean AIM? I'd be fine for that, but it would have to be tomorrow.

Wtch out, this may be grounds for a ban. To keep good faith, I would just post on OI if I were you. I think that would keep you from being banned (in the meantime I hope that they can fix the problems OIers are having).
I want to go on the record now as saying that Dejavu should NOT be banned so long as he doesn't post outside of OI.

Can us lowly OIers listen in? Where do we go to listen?

Can't you just participate in a debate on here? We've just started setting up formal debate threads, where only the two participants in the debate may post and a higher level of quality and civility is ensured. We want to get OIers involved too.

I'm downloading Skype now. One (possible) problem, though. I use a Mac, and I don't have a sound card or microphone available. Doesn't Skype allow free phone calls?
There's the option of just holding a formal debate, as ever closer pointed out.

Do you think it lacks impact? It doesn't seem to jump out as much as the old one.

It sounds like kinky sex to me. :D
But I gotta say the Ron Burgandy (whom I love) and an Irish Lawyer--hmmm-I don't get that connection. 'Cept the Irish wit. It took me a while to figure our you weren't from Kansas. You're more: "Kiss of Blarney" I would think.

It's actually one of the main objectives of the EU, as stated in one of its founding Treaties... if only the ECJ had interpreted it in that way!

You mean the guy in my sig? I just think it's a cool quote, and the guy was one of the greatest legal minds this country has produced. Politically he was Fine Gael though (right-wing Catholic) so he'd be more your kinda guy I guess ;)
And Kansas?! Random...

I've contacted GeneCosta on his private message. He must have not been here for a few days. Sorry for the delay but hopefully we'll have this debate available soon.

Funny thing is that I went to a piss up/BBQ at a Maoist commune a few weeks ago.

As long as nobody pisses in or on the BBQ, it sounds like my kind of feast.

A Chinese BBQ in England?
I must say you do have a lot of different political groups in England/Europe. It seems to me back in America we have only Democrats and Republicans. I'm not saying that we don't have a Maoist or two--but not enough to have anything of a presence.

Boy Tomk's absence sure was ephemeral wasn't it.
Good to see you stayed :).
And I wouldn't bother debating with Baconator aka Deavu. He's already proven himself incompetent and completely ignorant of anarchist and libertarian history.
