Is America truly democratic? I would have to disagree...you see, if we take the Presidential election for example, we basically have a two horse race, every time it seems. These horses are both funded by a minority, the corporations, they rely on it. Most notably are such corporations such as the cigarette manufacturers, if a runner has a pro-tabacco stance then the cigarette manufacturer would likeley fund that runner. The influence on the parties by these corporations on the parties could prove to be to such a degree that it could change party policy. America could be a complicated oligarchy...
