One thing I think we should implement is a new tax on the rich. Did you realize that when you make over a particular income level that you don't have to pay into social security.

Instead, those people should pay a 2% tax to help pay for things like free higher education.

Tax isn't punnishment, it's about helping the community. If everyone else but the wealthy are paying into social security than why are the most wealthy left without sharing this responsibility? Because apperently they have no need for social security.

So in stead, we should make them pay a tax at the state level to help with education and healthcare.

Ofcourse, the need to raise or implement more taxes at the state level could be simply avoided, or reduced if we cut back on the overbloated prison system here in New York State.

Repeal the Rockerfeller drug laws!
Non violent criminals should be housed in Rehabilitation centers, not Maxumum security!
Decriminalization of Marajuana is another important step in reducing money wasted on the prison system.

Have you ever noticed that while the major users of pot are white, the prison system is full of non whites?

Oh, and to continue about Taxes... the largest corperation here in New York State,General Electric, ( and poluter of the Hudson River) pays absolutly NO TAXES!!

Yet here these corperations are, complaning about being too heavily taxed. And when conservitives complain about Tax in their campains, naturally the public listen, For who's taking up the burden that the posessors of wealth should be contributing? You and I!

Your taxes wouldn't be so high if you weren't paying the share that General Electric and countless others should be paying.
