Yet again, we have another interesting entry; Finnish power metal band "Teräsbetoni" - wikipedia tells me this translates to "steel reinforced concrete", which is wonderfully cheesy ^^. Anyone heard any of their stuff, or got a more educated opinion to offer than "OMG LMAONADE!"? ^^

I was struck by the fact that San Marino and Belgium did not get through the first semi final ....... looks like regional voting.

Gil, it's Eurovision- of course there's regional voting! :P

Also, my favourite act of all time has got to be Verka Serdyuchka. :D

Sucks. A bland Dutch act as usual. And the joke acts are getting beyond ridiculous now. That Irish guy should not even have been allowed.

I think it´s a tragity that the irish birdy didn't get through to the next round.

That whoever chose who could enter has a poor grasp of geography?

Greece will kill this contest again
the greeks take it in a nationalist manner and invest a lot of money on the eurovision song and singer because they know that this is their only chance to show that they re good at something:P
Like when they won 2 years ago there were thousands of people in the streets with greek flags
Go kalomoira

Socially, culturally, and politically Israel is basically a European country. Turkey isn't in Europe either, but they're in it.

Indeed.

Actually, part of Turkey IS in the balkans region of europe. And if we're looking at it socially, culturally and politically, why don't we let the US and Australia in? ^^
