This has no political reference to socialism vs capitalism, it's just to save the life of an innocent woman. If you know what true justice and have respect for the meaning of life then you will sign this and stop this ridiculous punishment being carried out.

Please can you sign this open letter at:

http://www.mertonai.org/amina/OpenLetter.htm

This is for a very important cause as the judgement that has been passed is ridiculous in this modern day and age and the father isn't being punished. Please sign this, it won't take more than a moment.

Thanks.

Thanks, El Commandante! I signed. I heard about this from a friend of mine and I heard that Vicente Fox (Mexican Pres.) is supposedly trying to help this woman as well. Is that true?

Yeah, it's true, if you look on the site again there are a whole series of related articles and the one regarding that is one of the more recent ones.

Here's the link anways:

I support the open letter and have signed it. Those religous laws are disgusting and a crime against humanity. But, there are some people at the site how may be risking hypocrisy. Isn't Nigeria considered by some as a soverign nation? so isn't it allowed to establish its own laws, even if they are brutally repressive and murderous? Then what right do we have to get involved? At least that's the opinion many people here have, especially when deals with the west intervening in a nation's internal affairs in an attempt to bring positive change i.e.. Afghanistan and Iraq. So, can you oppose a dictatorship which is not under attack from a western military, and then turn around and support another dictatorship because it is under attack from western military?

I feel bad about going away from the discussion about the woman who may be executed by an oppressive government, but I think it is neccessary for us all to see all forms of evil as evil, I know there are gray areas inbetween the black and white of the definiton, but any nation that denies it's citizens their human rights is evil, and cannot be supported for any reason whatsoever.

I signed, of course. If she eventually gets stoned, I will personally gather a troop and head down to Nigeria and stone the judge to death. And you are welcome to join, my comerades! :)
