Hello from Cali
Lurked here a while and decided to join. I am a sort of a market socialist or something like that. i used the blog feature of this site to show where i stand politically/economically if anyone cares.
I am here to expand my knowledge about socialism and anarchism and to expose myself to more viewpoints and share mine.

Welcome to the forums. Hopefully we'll get to change your "maket socialist" views hehe.

nice south or north?
Although I believe in markets my ideas on socialism are still pretty radical and traditional to classic marxism.

Welcome.
As far as market socialism goes, I'm a bit sympathetic to mutualism, myself, although I choose to describe myself under the "anarchism without adjectives" title. Most of the libertarian socialists here are pretty orthodox about anarcho-communism, so might be able to provide some interesting incites.
You should join the anarchist group, if you get around to it.

No, I am not anarchist by any means. I recognize the role of government, workers owning the means of production, however cooperatives working within markets to an extent seems like a good way of allocating resources.

Sacramento. Lucky living in the bay, I only know one other socialist up here, it is much more conservative.

Hmmm.
I guess I was confused by the "libertarian socialist" title.
By the way, the vast majority of anarchists here recognize the importance of "workers owning the means of production", including myself.
