Um, CI, a "rogue nation" is created whenever US corporate intrests in a country are endangered and the Military thugs plan to overthrow that country's government in order to put a dictator into power.

not to defend Iraq, I think Saddam should have gone along time ago, but then again, along time ago saddam wasn't threatening the safety of the US corporations' servents with nukes. All for democracy in Iraq, huh? Where has that attitude been for the last 10 or 20 years?

Why should Iran be denied what the US has?

What is meant, in the news article you cited, by a "democratic" government? (Compare and contrast to the current structure of the government in Iran.)

Isn't it a little disingenuous for the US to talk about "democracy" when a scant fifty years ago the US installed the Shah as the leader of Iran (http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Blum/Iran_KH.html)? (The dire consequences of this are a matter of public record.)
