Ha ha, I was watching hardtalk last night and some Labour minister was talking about that. They just want to get a broad range of voters to stay in power. However, it may also be a result of the fact that Britains economy is so incredibly set up for the global market that they have just realized that there would have to be a extremly bad period of economic hardship if nationalisation was to be implimented. This is because that most of the British Bourgisie is rich on not his own countrys proletariat but of that of other countries, that is why two thirds of the British economy is services, there is no manufacture. If mass nationalisation was to be implimented then the resources for manufacture would be insufficient to support the population. It is extremly sad that Capitalism has done this to the country. Tony Blair knows that the country is overcrowded and in the short term, the only way to keep the economy stable is disgusting capitalism. Hopefully the countries population will dissapate, I think that it will not due to an implimentation of Socialism in it when it is certainly not ready, but due to a severe recession on the horizon going to hit the developed consumer nations, after this the population would have been reduced and Socialism would be possible.
