I agree mazdak.

I took the test as a non-lunatic conservative for shits and giggles. I basically checked off all conservative stances as "strongly agree" without being an extremist like a nazi or a dictator, my final result was around -0.5 libertarian. Its definitely biased.

What, are we supposed to be quivering or something?? Stop your leftie-baiting Nateddi, you're not helping anyone.

Its definitely biased.

And how should we know where we "really stand" if the test's "biased"??

Authoritarian/Libertarian: -8.92

When i took the test a long time ago I was -6 on the X axis and -8 on the y.

How is it biased? it's pretty good. I can make myself an authoritarian and make myself on the right, I remember doing that. I couldnt' make myself an authoritarian leftist though, i dont understand that ideology much.

It's not as biased as that LP.org shit, now theres some biased shit right there. It's pretty much "are you a capitalist or not", forgetting there are other systems out there.

@guerrillaradio

I had nothing in mind when I said that, don't make this into a debate.

I wanted to know how everyone stands now, it has nothing to do with anything else.

Nateddi

kidicarus,
agreed its not as biased as LP.org.

however, the LP test is going to be obviously biased becuase it is distributed and created by a single political party, whereas the PC claims to be equal to all viewpoints. here are some biased questions I found:

If globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations.
Everybody regardless left or right desires for globalisation to serve humanity. The right-wingers believe that it can serve it by greater world corporate freedom.

I'd always support my country, whether it was right or wrong.
I think the stupidy speaks for itself in this question. There is no reason for why anyone should agree to this statement.

We'd be better off if companies simply told the truth, rather than spending a fortune on manipulative consumer advertising.
Isn't this an overly obvious and unanimous yes? Everybody agrees that if companies told the truth we would be better off.

Education should involve enabling children to develop their own personality.
Again, this is a question to which no normal person should disagree with regardless of left/right libera/conservative leanings.

The most important thing for children to learn is discipline.
Again another unanimous position. I don't think anyone believes that discipline is the most important thing for children to learn.

When a person is troubled, it's better not to think about it, but to keep busy with more cheerful things.
Unless you are a complete sadist, you will answer with disagree. Once again, everyone regardless of leaning disagrees with this statement.

Some people are naturally unlucky.
WTF is this supposed to mean? Who believes that a person can be naturally unlucky. Whatever the intention behind such a proposition, it should be rephrased into something more ratoinal and something people can actually split on, instead of be unanimous.

thats about it.

Moloch,

Actually, I somhow moved to the right in regards to economics!!! I was previously at -9.75 (from the chart that Nateddi made, available in Chit Chat). That's why I asked if the questions have changed. I believe I answered all of the economic questions the same way as I did before. Perhaps they grade on a curve and all you damn lefties pushed me over!!!
