I agree with you. Society is being reduced to everyone being intolerant sheep.

Evil triumphs when good men do nothing.
If it happens again, give them a piece of your mind.

A valid point Brian. I agree with you on this, however, it has to be observed that not all society is like this, even in the most notorious of nations for this kind of behaviour.
It seems to me that the people in the developed world are becoming increasingly ignorant, conformist and self absorbed. It is sad, if nobody stands up and causes outrage, then society cannot move forward.
Examples of the product of the elements of society are such things as the National Enquirer, Incest, Rape, Christian Millionaires, obbsession in which celebrities are the focus of the obbsession and even such petty things such as High School gangs of both sexes.

'Seeing the big picture' is a fleeting thing. Because as soon as you are free from obscurities and 'labels', it is only a matter of time before 'society' brands you one thing or another again. Just look around. 'Free-radicals', 'Anarchist' groups. See, all bundled up in a nice little package by 'society'. We can't, by our very nature, let anything be 'unclassified'. And to be classified means to have 'the big picture' obscured from your line of sight. This constant evaluation of ourselves is a trademark of the last 15 years and it pushes me almost to the point of sickness.
Went to a restaurant for launch yesterday(not those fancy kinda).
There I was, sitting near a table of 5 women as they 'rated' any male walking in the door. This is sick. I bet if one of them were sitting near a table with 5 of other guys who were 'rating' each female that walked in, they would be pissed off and probably prone to saying something on the matter (none of them seem to lack excessive conversational abilities and they were so fucking loud you can hear them from outside the place). So I finished and just left .I used to believe that people looking at me was the most uncomfortable thing I could imagine. Oh well, I'll just have to walk into there with a couple of semi-automatic weapons and shoot everyone. What? I'm not an American? Oh, I see, there goes that idea.
Is this how bad 'society' has became? I bet those 5 women buy there clothes from that pig hole people call 'The GAP'.'Society' is getting stupider by the day, it's not even laughable anymore.
And don't worry; the irony is not lost on me. Remember, I am only a part of this tangled web of 'society' and to think I can observe it from any form of outside viewpoint would just be insulting your intelligence.
And I bet you're sick of that.
Basicly what I'm trying to say is fuck 'society'.

Now Brian, let's not whine because a bunch of pigs were holding up number signs like judges at a diving competetion while you were just trying to enjoy your meal over at Denny's.
Who the fuck cares? Now go to the beach and objectify a few broads.
And then go rent "In the Company of Men".
STALINSOLDIERS, you suck. Learn to spell, and a little grammar while you're at it. And don't be so quick to diss the American dream, as your charming fatalism is but a symptom of it at it's most apathetic, my fellow citizen.
Malte, please don't ban this guy. I consider him valued batting practice.
