Bush's Conspiracy to Riot

"On Nov. 22, 2000, the so-called 'Brooks Brothers Riot' of Republican activists helped stop a vote recount in Miami -- and showed how far George W. Bush's supporters were ready to go to put their man in the White House," writes Robert Parry, who cites newly-released documents which "show that at least a half dozen of the publicly identified rioters were paid by Bush's recount committee. The payments to the Republican activists are documented in hundreds of pages of Bush committee records -- released grudgingly to the Internal Revenue Service last month, 19 months after the 36-day recount battle ended. ... The records show that the Bush committee spent a total of $13.8 million to frustrate the recount of Florida's votes and secure the state's crucial electoral votes for Bush. By contrast, the Gore recount operation spent $3.2 million, about one quarter of the Bush total. Bush spent more just on lawyers -- $4.4 million -- than Gore did on his entire effort." Typical.

Hee!

In all the times I've been yelled at here, in all the times people have opposed me, this is the singularly most insipid and, of course, easily the vulgarist post I've yet to receive here.

AK does excel at something, apparently: idiot vulgarity.

Good for him. Hee!

Hey, I've got an idea, AK. Why don't you define "war words?"

I ask you to do this because it seems that, to you, this means that you will simply use vulgarity in place of any argument against me you may, or more likely may not, have.

By the way, AK, why aren't you bragging about people supporting you anymore? This used to be one of your big arguments. And hey, you may be right that everyone likes you and hates me. So where are they?

Now, if you've something to say, say it. Otherwise, you're relegated to the role of a troll, which I personally think suits you quite well.

Let's not do the "troll" act again, vox. Let's not ruin this for everyone. Really, you know, Malte may have to seperate us.

War words: (I'm paraphrasing)

vox
Why should I afford a right-winger
any amount of self-respect.

I won't.

Not now.

Not ever.

That means: "no going back", vox. I think it's in the "Dear vox" thread.

What are you a fucking baptist minister? you don't like my vulgarity? I hate to invoke Lenny Bruce, but if I must........

Nobody supports me. Hell, Punkrawker just "hanged up" on me over Hiroshima (no Mikey, it wasn't just an excuse). Fuck it. I just know for a fact that no one "loves you".

This isn't "AmericanKid-lives.com" Nobody comes here out of a shrine to me. I don't care. I come here to hear new ideas and fight. Malte should be proud.

I have a lot to say and I've said it. As far as the troll thing, that is one thing you-AND ABSOLUTELY ONLY YOU-have ever accused me of being. Fittingly characteristic of a fanatic.

The American people are suffering under that horrible, lieing, cheating, power driven cappy!

AK,

You're a joke.

Hey, comrades, wanna know why AK "paraphrased?" (In right-wing lingo, "paraphrase" must mean "lie.")

I'll tell you and show you, folks. This is what I previously wrote:

"The right acts solely in the interest of the 'elite,' that is, the wealthy. Slashing humanitarian programs and increasing corporate welfare is somehow supposed to improve the quality of life for the citizenry. There are no examples of this working, of course. Not ever.

"I should respect them anyway? These filthy inflictors of pain? These rotten purveyors of avarice?

"No.

"Not now.

"Not ever."

Don't believe me? Feel free to look at the thread (http://www.che-lives.com/cgi/community/topic.pl?forum=22&topic=815&start=0).

(If the link doesn't work, here it is: www.che-lives.com/cgi/community/topic.pl?forum=22&topic=815&start=0 )

AK "paraphrased" that into something that doesn't even exist. HE LIED. It's very simple.

As for your "fan club," I'm not surprised. They may still come out to show me up, but that's cool, too. Fact is, Ass Kisser, YOU are the one who brought up how much support you have, not me. YOU are the one who said that people told you I was wrong. YOU are the one who said that YOU were liked and I am hated.

And maybe that's true.

Here's the thing, AK. I'm not here to be popular. I'm not here to be loved. That's something you must think I want, obvious only in your own head.

Now, of course, since I just showed you to be a liar, your credibility is ZERO.

Back to the topic at hand...

What this artcle basically says is that the bush camp flew in supporters to protest what was a questionable recount debauchle in florida.

OK, so what?

It concedes that bush still had a lead over gore when thre recount was stopped. Somehow, after the supreme court ruling, "news sources' unofficial recounts" somehow put gore ahead.

Did these news sources have access to the official ballots?

That is kind of funny. Isn't it coincidental that before the actual florida vote-count debaucle, US media sources had prematurely suggested that gore took Florida? Resulting in a lambasting by the GOP and, more importantly, a possibility of discouragement of further republican voters in the nation as well as absentees from florida?

What no leftist seems to want to admit is that George bush won florida not just by a supreme court decision, but by vote count.

The rallying of his supporters is irrelevant

Y'know Kid, I've stood up for you many a time against people I have infinitely more respect for, and you then go and say things like that. If that is all you have to say then there is no place for you on this site. I hope that was just a slip of the keyboard tongue, and that you will get back to proper debating now.

Vox vs Glamgrrl - Christ alive, this is fascinating. I'm interested to see how Vox deals with cheerleader blondes (btw - how is it possible to be a glam girl and a cheerleader??).
