From what I remember it was designed to disarm Germany and forced them to pay money to the allies.

It forced Germany to admit they started WWI

Germany had to pay money to England, France, and the U.S.

They divided Germany into other different countries, so it wouldn't be as powerfull.

They also restricted them in the size of their army.

It also created a DMZ (demilitarized zone) in the western part of the Rhineland, the area of land around the Rhine River in Germany, and made Germany take sole blame for World War I.

Actually most of the reparations were ultimately pardonned by the US or were paid to the powers with money burrowed fromt he US. Ultimately the main effect of the treaty was to anger many germans, including Hitler and the Nazis. It also plunged germany into a "breif" post-war recession which gave rise to man revolutions which in turn scared many germans away from communist and anarchist politics and towards right-wing groups.

It was a revenge against Germany for all the war damage, Wilhelm and many others also were tried for war crimes.

It blamed Germany for the entire war, and faced them to pay off 33 Billion worth in debt to the European countries

German oversea territories in Africa were lost, Kamerun, German East Africa, German Southwest Africa, Togoland, and Germany New Guinea.

Germany also lost these percentages:
13% of national territory
12.5% of its population
16% of its coal fields
48% of iron and steel industry

All the land that Germany gained at the latter months of the war from Russia became independent countries (later SSRs)

The Alsace-Lorraine was given to France. Saar coal fields were under French occupation and control for 15 years.

Annexing Czechoslovakia, Austria, Poland, and Danzig were not allowed.

Germany became demilitirized (probably spelled it wrong) and its armies were limited to 100,000, and almost no war machines were allowed, planes, U-boats, tanks, etc.

Also, Germany was split into two parts, the main part, and the part that was surrounded by Poland, which was about its entire industrial area, the main city of that area was Gdansk.

Germany was not allowed to join the League of Nations.

The picture above shows Germany after territorial losses, the beige color representing Germany after the treaty, and all other territories were ceded to other countries, excluding the green, which was monitored by the league of nations. Keep in mind, this was Germany AFTER Czechoslovakia, Austria, etc. broke off.
