i usually support the CPUSA, they are more open and easier to deal with. they do give off a hint of revitionism (not a real word) but i think they could be a political party. they are the friendly face of communism, while another groups could be the "foot soldiers". this can lead to political strife with in the party and could cause a lot of problems. the other groups, i have heard varying opinions, but i heard that the Revolutionary Communist Party are a bit cultish.

however, what have these groups done? i actually never scene an action that had "communism" writen on it (not literally). I do know the CPUSA is active in NYC, i see them from the subway in the Bronx sometimes but i never scene the other groups being active in NYC.

The CPUSA backing Democratic candidates and saying Dengist China is good is a bit too much for me to forgive personally.

Yes, there's definately logic in claiming that the RCPUSA is using oppurtunist lines, breaking away from anti-revisionism and going for the popular boot. People are being tear-jerked by "images" of Chinese cops beating peaceful Tibetans, celebrities are all up in arms, etc. People don't realize that that kind of shit goes on HERE and NOW. The RCPUSA is just playing into liberal drama crap.

Unfortunately I think they are the strongest option in the US at this time.

Freedom Road Socialist Org (M-L)

I live in an area where most of the FRSO joined the Euro-com side of FRSO. So my impressions are based on a very weak point of FRSO. Nonetheless the main problem is they are TINY. Still they are the most direct link to the New Left of the 60s. The orgs who merged into them are very impressive. And the family tree is awe inspiring. They have the best understanding of the Mass Line. There is a lot I like about them in theory but its hard to judge when nationally and locally they are still awfully small.

I'm confused about which FRSO you're talking about here. You say FRSO (M-L) so I assume you're talking about the group at frso.org. You confuse me thought when you say the "Euro-com side" of FRSO. FRSO is definitely not Eurocommunist! What did you mean by that? Also it's confusing because you refer to the 'family tree', which is on the left refoundationist FRSO website (freedomroad.org), not the "ML" FRSO website (frso.org).

As for judging groups, obviously 'size matters' to an important degree. But the fact is all ML groups in the US are small, so it is just a matter of 'degrees of small'.

Since you say that FRSO 'has the best understanding of the Mass Line' (which I agree is true!), wouldn't you agree that means that FRSO has the best approach to mass organizing and therefore the most ability to grow?

Generally I'd say if you agree with the practice of a group that's the most important (since it affects what you'd actually be doing if you joined the group!), and being in general agreement with the theory is also important obviously.

since i have come from a union family, so AFL-CIO is ok in my book. they could do more, but for the most part, they were able to do a lot.

the working family party has done some work in NY, and they seem to be legit but also moderate. however, they have shown to be a major part of the labor movement.
