They are an organization that promotes the right to bear arms, but they promote the ownership and use of firearms in a safe, responsible manner,and support legislation that allows us to preserve this freedom while taking said weapons out of the hands of criminals and illegitimate users. Okay, sorry for being rather insensitive on the matter, but I really don't like the guy.

As for the NRA, I have no problem with protecting the second ammendment. I feel that gun ownership is very important for self defense or bringing down a corrupt government and such, but I have a HUGE problem with the whole hunting aspect of it. Heston is a hunter. Hunting is fucking sick. It's beyond description as far as how much I am disgusted by it. It's fucking murder. And yes, I have a huge problem with murder.

He is an old school actor. He was in the "Ten Comandments" and "Planet of the Apes". In his life after acting, he took up the cause for gun ownership and became the President of the NRA. The NRA stands for National Rifle Association, and is a gun ownership group that does alot of lobbying to protect our citizen's second amendment rights.
