I have some things I need to get off my chest. First of all I cannot comfortably label myself as anything other than a free thinking human being but I guess for simplicity I can say I'm fairly close to a 'green-anarchist'.

I've been struggling with life and I need some moral support. I live outside of Philadelphia and I have had bad luck finding other anarchists. Yes there is woodenshoebooks which is a website and organization (hint hint without linking because I don't think I'm allowed to link)but when my gf and I visited we felt a lack of outreach. I didn't feel like I could start talking to them. It felt like they had their collective and that was that. Their mission is complete.

I'm getting older, I'm 24 if it matters, and America has me feeling like I'm too over the top. I just quit smoking, I'm getting rid of my car and buying a bike (this week in fact) etc etc.

Cliffnotes:
So basically wah wah
Any decent updated websites
I need links
How the hell do we network

This site has a comprehensive list of links dedicated to anarchism.

and I have had bad luck finding other anarchists.

There are only about 10-20 existing in the world at any given time.

So the 25000 members of a single syndicalist union I marched with earlier this month were what? Scotch mist?

Either were given free beer or were all members of a Soccer club.

Most of them are social democrats or democratic socialists if you ask me.

I think it's more likely that they know their political position better than you know theirs ^^

Here's a good place to start. You may want to check our environmentalist networks via a search engine, too.

Welcome to the forums. :)

Hey thanks. I've been on this forum for a while now. I'm restricted because certain guys and gals on this site don't want to think about my obviously great ideas. I don't know what I can and can't search for because of this restriction.

Have you tried hanging out at your local university? They often have environmental groups you can work with. (And in my experience, many members of such groups are either closet or philosophical anarchists (even if they don't use the label).)

Another option is to just burn shit and tag ELF where you do it... Just don't get caught.

Good luck with the bike thing, bikes are great!

That's why I don't ask you. You throw words around whilst having only a vague idea that they have a meaning at all, and no clue at all as to what that is.

Huh? For my words not having any meaning, you sure like to respond to meaningless things.

Ah 'soccer' a reactionary word used by backwards ****s who don't realise that the English language has evolved and that it is actually, and has been for the past century, been called FOOTBALL. Never mind, eh? You're the sort of person who sees a bus heading straight for you when you're standing in the middle of the road but you don't move, people were here before buses so it will move for you. When the emergency services scrape what's left of you off the bus humanity can rejoice that your ignorance is our bliss. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but this entire site is dedicated to people exaggerating and flexing their egos, why shouldn't we all have a go at that too.

Mari3l - Have you thought about moving? I know that's ridiculously expensive but it might be worth it in the long-run?

I have thought about it and am considering the pacific northwest. Arcata California is a possibility too.

well done on giving up smoking, i did too. why don't you start a group/collective of your own?
I would think you'd get some anti-war comrades ANYWHERE, you could just be active on 'issues' until you find the exact fit.
you might find you prefer being an 'independent green anarchist' forever, the exact fit isn't always available to the free thinker, doesn't mean you can't co-operate with comrades around areas of mutual interest.

How did you get yourself restricted?

I can't really think of any other anarchist site, I use this site for all of my leftist needs.

And I'm pretty sure you are allowed to link, I've done linked to other places many times and haven't been told not to.

Boy, have you been in a cave. There's about a million of 'em.

.............

I consider green-anarchists allies of the left and of anarchists in general, if that helps.

Being any kind of "leftist" or "dissident" can often be hardwork. What's so frustrating about it is that you're going against nearly all of society's entrenched beliefs, so most people don't understand where you're coming from.

That pretty much just comes with the territory.
