Reading some of that puts me in mind of my RE classes and the Hindu Caste System. At the time i thought is was ludicrous that people should be restricted to castes due to their paremts positions and the fact that inter-caste marriage was frowned upon. It seems to me that this is happening less obviously in society as well though.

Again, readers, that's not what I said at all.

What I said is that I think that CI is only interested in our attention, nothing more. Somehow, this was turned in to me saying that I "proved" his point, though I don't recall him making a point, just a demand. Indeed, left wholly open is the original question: "CI doesn't seem think his opinion, in and of itself, is worth anything, for, if he did, why make a condition that people respond to him before he gives it?" One would think that he'd jump at any opportunity to explain how wrong we are, but he shows here that's not at all the case. How far away is CI from trolling at this stage?

The fact is, of course, no one here is obligated to reply to anything at all. People post and, if someone wishes to respond, he does. It's really that simple. If CI were to simply write a response, then maybe someone would respond to that, maybe not.

But that's not good enough for CI. He wants a commitment. Is this the action of someone who wants to be heard or someone who wants attention? CI is making it very clear that he judges the value of his posts on how many responses he gets, not on the post's content.

For those who wish to keep score, yes, I'm saying that CI misrepresented what I wrote, and it's quite clear that he did, as I just explained.
