its going to be on October second 2068. lol just kidding!

Nobody really knows when the revolution, or the revolutions will happen. One can only especulate in which places it will me more likely and what social conditions and events may lead to it. In my very own personal opinion it is bound to happen in third world countries, when they try to free themselves from imperialism.

I personally don't think it will happen until the next great depression which we could be entering now. Also though are the revolutionary party's strong enough to capitalise on it

Mexico, 2010? Heh... I wish.

Seriously, though, when it comes to revolutions in general I have no idea, but when it comes to revolutions that actually have a chance of resulting in Communism, it can only happen in the First World and only in large, continental areas. That means North America or Europe.

In North America's case, there is of course Mexico which is not the epitome of stability at the moment, though, unless the credit crisis really hits hard, I cannot see any possible uprising in Mexico spreading North fo the border.

In Europe's case, we have, in general, a less superstitious population than in the past and greater divisions between rich and poor. In the short term, it depends on what happens with the current economic turmoil, but there is no real reason to be overly optimistic, I am afraid.

You know, running around singing 'revolution is inevitable!' isn't going to make revolution. Communists must base themselves on rich historical experience which teaches that obsolete classes do not voluntarily abandon the stage of history. Recall the history of England in the seventeenth century. Did not many say that the old social system had decayed? But did it not, nevertheless, require a Cromwell to crush it by force?

I have some hopes about the upcoming recession and, in the UK, conservative government. High unemployment and low wages do not a happy worker make.

Those are likely just hopes though, couldn't possibly set any sort of date. We'll see.

They have already taken away rights by the Terrorism Bill in the UK and Homeland Security Bill in the USA,

Its happening as we speak.

Workers are beginning to see the sad reality that is capitalism.

The people are beginning to polarize.

Anywhere you look, there are signs of revolt brewing.

International Revolution is a Utopian naive concept that will never happen, in reality any attempt to make 'international' revolution will end just like Soviet social-imperialism ended, in failure. Revolution happens in individual countries where the Communist movement strategizes it's political tactics based on that countries unique economic conditions and state of the proletariat.

"The Revolution" is not a singular concept. "The Revolution" is always happening, because it is an idea, and it lives in all leftists. The idea that the wealthy aristocracy is attempting to rule the world, keeping down the people, and controlling everything, and that we as free men and women must resist them. In my opinion, it is not a choice, it is partially a right, and it is completely a duty and a responsibility. Those of us who realise what is going on, those of us capable of doing something, anything must act. Granted, not all of us agree on the tactics, but if we all do our part, we can win, and we will win, because the time is coming soon that the people realise in mass what is happening... and as a result, not a single capitalist-fascist-imperialist scumbag will survive. No amount of begging and pleading and promises of wealth and bribery will save them. Their only salvation will be a true change of heart and actively working to undo the wrongs they have caused. We won't accept it as a reaction to their inevitable defeat, only a true change. "The Revolution" is now, in all of us, or we wouldn't be here, and its physical manifestation is just over the horizon. -Joe

When is the revolution

What kind of revolution are we talking about? Are we talking about a single revolution in one country, or are we talking about a revolution like a game of dominoes, taking one country at a time?

The Mayans did prophesize 2012 as being the passing of a World Age. If you're into superstition, there you go.
