Farmworkers and their allies delivered nearly 85,000 signatures to
Burger King at its corporate headquarters in Miami with heightened
urgency yesterday, as news broke in the Ft. Myers News Press that BK
Vice President Steven Grover used a false identity to post a series of
harsh and libelous attacks against the CIW in readers forums and video
comment spaces across the internet.

Here's an excerpt from the Associated Press report on yesterday's
action at BK headquarters:

"MIAMI — Farm worker advocates sought to present more than 80,000
signatures to Burger King officials Monday urging the fast-food giant
to join McDonald's Corp. and Taco Bell to help boost the wages of
Florida tomato pickers and improve working conditions in the fields.

The presentation of the petitions, collected from all 50 states and 43
countries, came the same day that a newspaper reported a top Burger
King official used his young daughter's e-mail address to spread
misinformation about the farmworker group."

makes me sick, using sly tactis like that.
80,000 is a lot of signatures, but I doubt it will make a difference. Kudos for trying though.

I actually helped collect the signatures and another organization on my campus held a protest in front of BK. Other fast food restaurants have given in and given the workers what they wanted, BK should hurry up and do the same.

Yeah that seems like the only thing that can be done. That, or more extreme activities taken against your local Burger King. Not that I condone such acts, of course. ;)

Just look at the guy. What a fucking worm. Here is what I would do if I had the power.

I would clear a perimeter of about fifteen feet across in the middle of one of those tomato fields. Next, I would drive a stake into the ground at the center of the clearing. Attached to this stake would be a chain. The chain would be split into two lengths....each one attached to a locked shackle around each of his ankles. He would be stripped of his clothing and left there.

At the edge of the clearing would be rows of fresh tomatoes. They would be just out of his reach. He would be forced to chew his own feet off in order to break free from the shackles. If he did, as he crawled toward the tomatoes, his hands would trigger bear-traps which would be placed just before the row of tomatoes. Now, he has no feet, one or both hands are clamped in bear-traps, and he is bleeding to death......but he can manage to bite one of the tomatoes if he's lucky.

This would be video taped. A copy of the video would be sent to every fast-food corporation throughout the globe. The demand would be that all executives liquidate their assets and redistribute all their wealth (every fucking penny of it) to the laborers evenly.....or suffer the same consequences. Many would call this a bluff....and they would be kidnapped, and the process would repeat.

Now on a scale of 1-10 how sexually exited were you while typing that

Well, I was reminded of how Mao would have red-hot metal rods shoved up landlords asses, while I was devising those means of torture in that post.......if that counts.

Burger Fascist!
I remember when I was living in Montreal, a McDonalds voted to unionize.
What did the company do? They closed the store.
