View Full Version : Che-Lives T-Shirts

I read in the news forum that there are some new che-lives shirts. Malte, maybe you can make an "evil capitalist" version, you know, kind of like us capitalists being the decepticons to your autobots (Transformers, anyone? I always liked the decepticons better anyway, they were cooler).
Anyway, as a T-shirt Idea, an episode of "The Simpsons" comes to mind. Homer is on a eurpean beach, and a life guard says, "excuse me, american, american". Homer asks, "how did you know"?
He turns around, and on his t-shirt is a picture of a very menacing looking Uncle Sam with his hands around the world, with the caption: "Just try and stop us!"
One of my personal favorite Simpsons moments.
Anyway, just an idea.

This is the third or fourth "let us in"-style topic post today where an attempt is made to "right"-ize this board somehow.
Okay, what the fuck is going on here? Is this some wierd new strategy that you and Norman cooked up but didn't let me in on.........?

Braun and Prowl and Wheeljack were my favorite transformers.
It is without a doubt one of the definingly traumatizing moments of my youth that all three end up getting killed off in the movie.
Seriously, that has to be one of most unexpectedly violent movies ever. Did anyone else leave the theatre in tears?

Fuckin' a, it IS a pretty good flick. My friend got the dvd for me for christmas a few years ago and my favorite thing on it is the conversation with the guy who wrote the score over the use of the song "You got the touch" in "Boogie Nights." It's a pretty interesting and funny interview.
Fucking wheeljack got the things on the side of his head that lit up when he talked broken off in that opening sequence. You never see it happen, but that chick transformer drags his and Windjammer's bodies out of the way and you see those big, rectangle things, but they're just chillin' there on the ground, all broken and gray and shit. Ugh.......
Also, Megatron just fucking EXECUTES Iron Hide. I mean, he doesn't shoot him on the battlefield from far away; Iron Hide, clinging to life, meakly raises his arm up to him, and Megatron simply looks down and
*BAH-SHZOOM!*
executes him. And I was like, "Mommy......?"

The decepticons were cooler looking, partly because or their evil facial expression and partly because they had most of the weapons and transformer into things like F-15's. Optomus Prime was a wussy. What was he again some stupid semi truck that turned into an anti-aircraft gun?
What about the thundercats?
I also sided with Cobra over G.I. Joe, and was always upset because nobody ever died. Their planes would blow up around them and five minutes later they would come parachuting out of the sky without getting hit by the crossfire.
Question:
Who has better characters Marvel or DC comics?

OMG Storman! That F***king G.I Joe cartoon came on yesterday! It wasn't even funny! You're right. The Evil dudes are cooler, and there are scenes where the two sides just shoot at each other. No one actually dies. And eventually the evil guys just 'surrender'. They must have REALLY bad aim.

YEAH, YEAH! Thats right, they had the original "You've Got the Touch" song, and then they used that in Boogie Nights, that was so funny when I heard that.
One of the best scenes in the movie is when, early in the movie, the decepticons board the autobot ship during their initial attack, and just open up on the autobot crew. Was it Mirage, or the ambulance guy (I forgot his name), that takes a shot to the chest, and then, as the lights in his eyes slowly dim, this freakin' smoke billows out of his mouth, and he drops dead. That was sweet, and as far as Transformers go, pretty graphic.
Man, OK, now I'm gonna go home, crank the digital home theatre, and take a trip back. I'm watchin' it tonight!

I used to watch Transformers. Wow they are soo cool. I had the Toys and everything. By the way the new ones e.g Beast Wars are LAME!!!
As for a capitalist T-shirt I think Lord Kitchener would be good. The British were the greatest imperialists in the history of mankind. Or perhaps O'Reilly from the Fox News show. This guy is more right wing than Darth Vader and unlike the rest of the Fox News crew he is actually intelligent. O'Reilly is a great warrior in the Capitalist's battle for the haearts and minds of the world.

Yeah, totally!
Every week there would be some, like, "mother of all battles" sequence in which there would be thick, thick tracer fire, parafrag bombs detonating, missles, rockets, explosions, and not 1 person would even get hit!
Then again, it was for kids.

My brother had 3 transformers.
He had that one that could turn into about 5 different things and I think it was a train or something.
He had that one that was a plane
And he had annother one that I can't remember.
But I don't remember ever watching it.
Did anyone else have "Ring Raiders"?
Capitalist Imperial

Prowl was the police-car guy who got aced in the chest, then his eyes lit up and fire came out his mouth.
Christ, seriously, I can still see it through my "child's eyes" to this day. Really. This isn't a put on, I was tense when I watched that on a BIG movie screen. Really, because what we're talking about before with the GI Joes, you're used to everyone shooting but not getting shot. And then you see this movie and it's: "Whoah, EVERYONE'S gettin' shot. And fucked up, at that!"
Great movie, though.

Oh... prowl, thats right.
Yeah, exactly, AK, I remember on the TV cartoon, bumblebee would take a direct hit to the chest from megatron's blaster, and get up!
Then the movie copmes, and starscream is taking out big guys with 1 shot!!
I am totally with you on the vivid memory thing, on the big screen, there were even a couple of swears!!
The nature of the situation makes it one of my most memorable movie experiences.
