I knew from the beginning that he was just a lonely person that needed an ideology to follow. It happened to be socialism. But he could have been a follower of pretty much anything. He just needed to feel that he belonged to something.

First he decided he would be a communist, then he said he wouldn't. This isn't something that you just pick because it seems like the cool thing to do.
