The World Anthem - A left wing idea

Apparently, a group known as the The Mindshare Foundation in conjunction with another group known as The Human Ant Project have collaborated on an abortion known as The World Anthem. What they did was take all the World's national anthems compile them into a database that search for common notes and lyrics. The final result was this train-wreck that I mentioned.
Too me, this sounds like a left wing ploy designed to further erode the national sovereignty of the U.S. Not to mention that it is a truly a disgusting piece of music. If any of you communists are interested go to htpp://www.worldanthem.com to listen to a sample. Get back with me and tell me what you think of the music and the idea of having a world anthem.

The star spangled banner is actually quite a good national anthem along with the russian one (I think it's the internationale but the one I heard had different words) and the marsailes. But the British national anthem sucks.

That wasn't about the blind patriotism that the right will display all too often. Hendrix protested the things that he disagreed with. He didn't exactly share your politics.

I know, I was not discussing patriotism, I was discussing the national anthem and rock music, two things that jimmie and I have in common.

All national anthems are a waste of time, to me at least. It just gets tolerable during the World Cup, afterwards, well, I don't really see any sense in them anymore.

But that's probably because I used to hate standing in line before class in the mornings, throughout secondary school, and being forced to sing nationalistic praise for a government that I could hardly connect with at all. Most of the time, I'd be thinking of something else.

But if it rocks your boat, go ahead, knock yourself out... :)

Jimmy Hendrix is the true king of rock and role. Why does Elvis get this title he was a no talent hack who used other people's music to popularize it amongst the white majority. Nothing he did was new, except for his ability to casue a controversy by swinging his hips. Hendrix mesmerized the masses, leaving them in complete disbelief.
