I've been hanging around for a few days so I guess its time for the awkward greeting phase...
Hello everyone I'm new on revleft as you can all see. It seemed like a nice place for discussion and I decided to join... so here I am. I have a lot to learn about stuff but then again, don't we all?
:)

that means I'm a nice person despite the brief and formal introduction

I live in Turkey
Another RevLeft user, Devrim, also lives in Turkey and I think some other users are from Turkey too.
If you are not already a member of a political party or active in communist politics, here is a link to two different revolutionary communist and Marxist-Leninist parties in Turkey:
Labour Party of Turkey:

Marxist Leninist Communist Party (Turkey and North Kurdistan):

I know Leo is a left communist and is a member of the ICC, along with Devrim, but I always thought Leo was European.

I know of the parties you have mentioned though I am not a member of either. I have several acquaintances who are members of EMEP and while I do sympathise with them on several issues, I disagree with some other policies of theirs...maybe I should think things over, or maybe they are wrong
not sure exactly

The same for me.
I am a member of the www.cpgb-ml.org.uk (http://www.cpgb-ml.org.uk) and yet I do not agree with every policy and political line that the CPGB-ML has.
But the CPGB-ML, being a Marxist-Leninist communist party is organised on the basis of democratic centralism. At the party congress (held every two years), all members have the right to put forward new policies or to alter existing policies and we all have the right to vote on all party policies and the party programme.
Being Marxist-Leninist communist parties, I am sure that the MLKP and EMEP will have a similar system of party democracy for their respective party members.
Maybe you could talk to EMEP members and find how much you agree and disagree with the party line and if you are able to work out your disagrements.
Years back I mostly just posted on this forum and did not do much political work outside. But know I do most of my political work in the real world as that is the most important thing all communist activists can do, and not just become isolated by posting on a internet forum alone.
RevLeft is a good place to build up theoretical knowledge and to exchange ideas, but organising and political work are things for the real world, outside of RevLeft.
Finding the right communist party for you and becoming involved with their work and the struggle of the working class is the biggest step anyone can take.

Some Turkish people are European, although I think Leo is of Kurdish heritage (or is that Devrim?). He's definitely from Turkey though.
