Ok so on May the first its the London Mayor elections, anyone have any thoughts on the candidates, and not just the 3 ones we only ever see on the TV but also the others, i am leaning towards Lynsey German of LeftList, though im not 100% on that, but who else is there? a few right wingers and the 3 usual suspects from the Lib Dems Labour and the Torys.

i am leaning towards Lynsey German of LeftList, though im not 100% on that, but who else is there? Why are you not sure about Lyndsey German? She will not be able to win the election - but this is not the reason she has chosen to stand. She is a candidate because the election will enable her to gain a broader audience for radical ideas, and she will show that the Labour party is not the only option for the supporters of progressive politics.
There is, however, a strong chance that LeftList will be able to secure a seat on the Greater London Council, as this council is elected through a system of PR, which gives an advantage to small parties which are able to achieve many votes across a large area, unlike FPTP, which is used in the elections for parliament, and is a system which gives an unfair bias towards established parties.
I hope all Londoners on the board will vote for LeftList in the assembly elections.
