Hi I can see why capitalists use fascists to stop the left but how?

Fascists act as sort of a secret police on the radical scene, taking comrades' photos, beting them up, shutting down leftist events, etc.

Fascists also serve another function simultaneously: to temper the public's view on the authoritarian capitalists currently in power. In contrast to the fascists, people like Bush look moderate.
