Who likes funk music!?

Hey guys, just wondering who here on RL listens to funk music. If you do, who are some of your favourite groups?

Funkadelic/Parliament, Sly & The Family Stone, Cane & Able, the Ohio Players, James Brown of course.

Funkadelic is probably my favourite though, gotta love Maggot Brain and Groovallegiance.

I went to see George Clinton & the P-Funk All-Stars in Dublin last year, it was absolutely fantastic. They played a 4-hour set, including a 25-minute guitar solo for Maggot Brain. That's what got me into p-funk. I had always been a major fan of James Brown though.

I saw Clinton as well a couple of years ago in Atlantic City, but I had to leave early due to an illness and it being a school night. But what I did see was excellent and I liked the jam/medley style where they didn't stop playing and just transitioned into different songs and chants. The opening act was his niece's band or something, and they were cool until they started rapping about sex with dudes.
