The Intransigent Faction

I'm a 17-year old from Ontario, Canada and a relative newcomer to Communism. You could say I'm a disillusioned Liberal/reformist.
I've grown up in a quite well-off "upper-middle class" family but as a Canadian have grown up in a nation with public health care, social security, and dominance in most areas of social Liberalism. Growing up in Canada as a teenager from 9/11 and the initial year of the Iraq war on definitely surrounded me with certain influences (although my life was not without other influences--my grandparents of course being especially Conservative).
However the "Liberal" party here has become another Democratic Party lately..centrist at best and seemingly unwilling to challenge the neocons of the country. Disillusioned and still clinging to the left-wing view of social entitlements I turned to reformism. I don't want to be egocentric and rant about myself needlessly but let's just say I've always been
left-leaning..and to clarify, I wasn't just going along with the crowd..this was merely to explain where some of my political beliefs are rooted. I was first introduced to politics, in fact, by two Centrist friends.
So let's just say for the sake of brevity that I went from Reformist to Communist when I realized that Capitalism could not merely be "fixed" but had to be abolished as a system for the economic and social fairness I desired to become a reality.
I've only recently began reading Marx and Engel's writing along with some of Lenin's, and know a little bit about Stalin at best..but I'll learn.
I'll shut myself up here. Sorry about that.
In any case, I wasn't really directed here by anyone..I just happened to stumble across the forum while browsing.
