An evolution to a socialist society sounds good weren´t it for the latinamerican capitalist reaction. How Heinz Dieterich figures out the way workers can seize power without overthrowing bourgeoisie and a proletarian dictatorship is not clearly stated in his book. Is it a fake?

I don't think the Latin American experiment should be discredited; leaders of the socialist movement are simply trying to distance themselves from past experiments, with good reason. "Socialism for the 21st century" reminds me in a lot of ways about the classical social democracy movement. Its approach is also a lot more caring. If Chavez had come to power and pushed for the abolition of private property, not only would he not enjoy 70% approval ratings, but America probably would have directly intervened instead of finance an opposition group to enact a military coup.
