The Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, announced on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, that Comrade Ismail Abu Nasr, 23 years old, from Beit Lahiya, from the snipers unit of AAMB, was martyred in an enemy air force raid.
This air force raid came immediately following the heroic battle of Nahal Oz, in which 2 occupation Israeli soldiers were killed, on Wednesday, April 9. AAMB announced its responsibility for the killing of the enemy soldiers in a valiant battle.
AAMB said that martyr comrade Ismail Abu Nasr was a committed fighter with excellent comradely qualities, and excelled as a fighter in the sniper unit. AAMB stressed that it is committed to continue in his path, and the path of all of the martyrs - continuing the resistance, in rejection to any so-called "truce," as there is no "calm" and no "ceasefire" with occupation.
Demonstrating AAMB's continuing resistance, it hit the colony of Sderot and Asqalan with 4 missiles on Wednesday April 9, and shelled the military area of Nativ Haasarah with 8 mortars at 9:40 AM.
